Avishoes baby shoes on Facebook

Please note I made these baby shoes quite a while ago, and only a limited number are still for sale on Folksy:

Me and Eva Shackel

Eva (left) runs Workshop Skills- workshops and is helping me with devising the structure of my Make Your Own Canvas Shoes Workshop. You can find her website here: We are discussing materials for the shoes here, and how people coming on the workshop will measure their own feet, make a pattern and sew their own shoes. I’m especially fond of the deckchair canvas; it’s colours are bright and just says summer to me:-) The fabric also comes with complementary sweets!

The Amazing Singer 317

As the lady I bought it from called it. It’s from 1966 and can handle thick fabrics, and leather. Like an industrial machine, but then portable.   Hmmm, just look at its creamy retro-ness. Aluminium on the outside and metal on the inside; indestructable. (Hopefully)
